I have a diverse background of two hemispheres, I love salty sea breezes and thundering hooves; mystically poetic ballads and electric guitars. Australia and America are both considered as “home.”
With a background in showing and racing Thoroughbreds, I attribute my hands on experience with horses as a licensed trainer and farm owner to the ability to express the determination in my subjects when I write.
In marketing and advertising, my skills include a proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite products. As a natural stepping stone to 15 years dedicated to marketing equestrian farms and residential estates, I earned a license in Florida as a Real Estate Sales Associate.
My editorials and featured stories have been published internationally in Blood-Horse magazine, The Daily Racing Form, Wire To Wire, The Farm Report, and DarleyAmerica.com as Julie Hazelwood Castro. As well, my artwork and print layouts have been seen in Keeneland, Sidelines, Horse Capital Digest, and Homes & Land magazines.
